Jeremy (JT) supports our efforts to connect state, district, and school leaders to personalized capacity-building. He joins Catalyst Exchange with 15 years’ experience in education and passion for improving systems with students at the center. He began his career as a middle-school ELA teacher in Houston, where he fell in love with the rigors, joys, and intensity of teaching 7th-graders. During his years in the classroom, he also served as a teacher coach and network curriculum specialist for ELA. In addition, he supported the founding of new public charter schools in Washington, overseeing a small network’s academic program and supporting cross charter-sector academic collaboration. Most recently before joining Catalyst Exchange, he has partnered with school, district, and state education leaders across the country to improve instruction, particularly focused on the use of school data systems and high-quality instructional materials (HQIM). Outside of work, he appreciates great coffee, neighborhood walks, lifting weights, and open world video games.
