Emmy DeFigueiredo
Chief of Staff
Emmy DeFigueiredo is a seasoned Chief of Staff who specializes in turning strategy into action, and keeping organizations moving clearly and purposefully through complexity and change. She brings deep experience supporting C-suite executives and senior leadership teams, with a particular focus on organizational development, internal communications, and systems building.
Before joining Catalyst Exchange, Emmy spent several years embedded in mission-driven organizations navigating real inflection points — periods of rapid growth, leadership transitions, and organizational reinvention. Most recently at Think of Us, she worked alongside the Managing Partner to build the internal infrastructure needed to scale the organization from a $4M to $11M operating budget over two years: strengthening how the leadership team operated, how decisions got made, and how the organization communicated through change. Before that, she held roles at Tilting Futures spanning operations, marketing, and the organization's first Chief of Staff function.
Emmy is drawn to the connective tissue work — the kind that makes sure strategy doesn't get lost between the leadership suite and day-to-day execution. When not working, Emmy spends her time doing martial arts, watching jeopardy, and cooking.
