Rini Kamalakkannan

Harini (Rini) is a strategic communicator with expertise in content direction, digital media, and ethical storytelling. Previously, Rini served as Creative Director at the Washington State Charter Schools Association, where she led awareness and advocacy campaigns to promote public education options for families across the state. She has also established strong online presences and directed community-focused communications in the nonprofit sector, working with education organizations like the True Measure Collaborative and Washington MESA, among others.

Rini has a technical background in architecture and design and holds a Master of Communication in Communities & Networks, with a specialization in Ethics and Culture, from the University of Washington.

Outside of work, Rini loves traveling with her husband. Whether it’s hitting the road for a spontaneous trip, hiking in the mountains, or immersing herself in the cultures of new cities, she’s always up for an adventure.
